Introducing A New Mudry.me

Charting a new course for my personal and professional websites. Read all about what’s new, what’s changing, and what’s leaving.

Over the past two years I’ve juggled a handful of websites to serve as a place to showcase who I am as a person both personally and professionally. This has meant multiple sites to manage both on the back-end and front-end design, and then content to serve on top of that.

Ultimately, I’ve decided that juggling was not worth my time and that I would be much more happy having one site that did it all: hosting a portfolio of my work and experience, and a place for my blogs, gaming updates, thoughts on things, and more.

Today I’m happy to say that Mudry.me is now the home to both my professional portfolio and my personal blog!

I’m hoping this change will allow for me to be more committed to creating more content for my site instead of maintaining multiple WordPress and SqaureSpace sites. As much as I enjoy making websites, I love making content for them so much more.

I have a list of what’s new, what’s moving on, and what’s still to come to this site in the weeks to come below. In the coming weeks, I’m also aiming to have a blog post outlining some of the fun things I’m writing and working in more detail. Keep posted for that!

What’s New

  • Mudry.me has a brand new landing page. Learn all about who I am and what I’m working on. The focus of the landing page is the professional me.
  • A new Blog that consists of everything from personal life updates, to video games, side projects, mozzarella stick reviews, Spotify playlists, and links to things I care about.
  • A Music page! Check out my Spotify playlists and thoughts on music I’m currently listening to.
  • A Gaming page that features my live streams, recent gaming clips, and links to add me on Xbox, PlayStation, and so forth.

What’s Leaving

  • Over the next few weeks NickMudry.com will migrate from the SquareSpace site and redirect to my portfolio landing page here on Mudry.me.
  • MozzarellaSticks.org and MudrysMozz.net will also direct towards the Mozzarella Sticks landing page here on my site.
  • Side web projects that live as subpages off of the main domain that I worked on over will exist as long as they can. I haven’t been supporting them for a while now, and while I may return to them someday have no real plans to work on them. If they disappear, they’re probably gone forever. 🙁

What’s Still To Come?

  • Backfilling of blog content from previous sites. I’ve done this for the most part, but I think there’s still some more posts to come.
  • Giveaways! I want to do more of these and you can see the work in progress on the giveaway page that’s already soft-live.
  • A more robust Mudry’s Mozz landing page for stretchy cheese stick goodness. Right now it’s just the blog category.
  • Potentially a splash page to allow you to choose between visiting the professional site (current home page) or personal content.

For now, that’s all I have to share. I hope everyone enjoys the new design and content. If you have any thoughts, just hit up the contact page and reach out.

For everyone who’s just visiting my site for the first time, welcome! If you’ve been poking in every now and then, thank you for sticking around. 🙂
