Another year, another recap of my year in gaming!

This year was a unique one for me. It was those years where I wasn’t able to spend a lot of time playing games but did get some solid gaming time in.

Top 5 Games of 2019

This year I’m keeping my “Top 5” list fairly simple. Aside from games I played very briefly or just for some achievements on Xbox (more on that in a bit), there wasn’t much of note that I actually ended up playing. Of course there are some games that I did think looked great from watching live streams or Let’s Plays on YouTube, but sadly I did not get to jump in and play them for a lengthy amount of time.

In no particular order, here are five of my favorite games from 2019:

All five of these games are extremely fun and still keeping my occupied. I’m looking forward to playing them all more next year!

Games I Worked On: 2019 Edition

2019 was a big year for Harmonix (the company that I work at). We ended up releasing two games, both amazing VR titles: AUDICA and Dance Central.

I wrote a short blurb about each of them. Definitely check them out if VR games are your thing!

AUDICA is a VR rhythm shooter game that Harmonix launched into Early Access at the beginning of the year. Work wise, I spent the majority of my year working on this game and launching it on pretty much every major VR headset this year.

If you play VR games, you definitely need to pick up AUDICA on Steam, the Oculus Store, or PlayStation 4!

Dance Central

At PAX East 2019, we (Harmonix) announced a new game in the Dance Central franchise! It was a great part to be apart of announcing and releasing a brand new game in the Dance Central franchise.

Dance Central is out now on the Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift Platform. Go pick it up now if you own either of those VR headsets!

2019 Xbox Achievements Recap

If you know me well, you know I love unlocking achievements on Xbox. There’s just something super special and rewarding about it to me. I love taking the time each year to look at my statistics on and share a quick recap!

In 2018 I managed to unlock nearly 600 achievements for over 14,000 gamerscore. Comparing this to last year, I’m about as “on par” as I could be, even if it is a little lower.

Next year I am hoping I can tack on at least another 10,000 gamerscore on Xbox. Thinking about it right now, it most definitely is achievable, especially with a brand new Xbox console launching next year. I’m hoping to create a plan and share it here on my blog early next year on how I will reach that goal and even higher.

That’s All For 2019, Folks!

With all of that said, that about wraps up gaming in 2019 for me. While it was a strange year for me, I still managed to play a lot of games, including a few of the major titles this year.

I am very much looking forward to the next-gen console launches in 2020 and can’t wait to see what my “year end report” ends up being next year!
