Once a year I try to take a moment to sit down and write a recap of everything gaming in life. This is 2017’s recap!
Top 5 Games of 2017
2017 was a slow year when it game to gaming (at least for me). However, I still had a great time sinking my teeth into a small handful of games. Here are my five favorite games of the year:
- PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – Xbox One
- Destiny 2 – Xbox One
- Cities: Skylines – Xbox One
- Mario Odyssey – Nintendo Switch
- Cuphead – Xbox One
Games I Worked On: 2017 Edition
2017 was a wild year when it comes to games we released at Harmonix! In the span of 12 months we released 4 games all on different platforms.
DropMix (iOS / Android)
DropMix is a wildly unique and one of a kind music mixing card game. Each card represents a different part of a song and as you put them down on the game board you start to create a unique mix of music utilizing all those songs! Check out one of my favorite mixes I’ve made below:
You can pick up the DropMix board over and a bunch of additional card packs over on Amazon and start making unique mixes like this and more today!
Super Beat Sports (Nintendo Switch)
Super Beat Sports is a very unique and extremely fun game that I got to work on at Harmonix this year. Super Beat Sports is a collection of five sports-themed mini games with a twist – everything is musical. That means that you’ll need swing, volley, and score to the music in order to come out on top.
It’s available now on the Nintendo Switch for only $14.99 – which is a steal for the amount of fun you’ll have playing it!
Rock Band VR (Oculus Rift)
Rock Band VR puts you front and center on stage and makes you truly experience the “rock star fantasy” through the power of virtual reality!
SingSpace (Oculus Gear VR / Oculus Go)
If you’re looking to do some karaoke on the go or in VR, then SingSpace is perfect for you! I have a lot of fun playing this and look forward to belting out to some of my favorite songs everyone else!
